SLPCL Designs Dudgeon

Structural design work has already commenced at Sea and Land Project Consultants for the offshore substation platform which will form part of the Dudgeon Offshore Wind Farm currently under production. Sea and Land are working in conjunction with Lowestoft-based Sembmarine SLP, who were awarded the contract to design and build the substation by Siemens Transmission and Distribution Limited.

The Developer is Dudgeon Offshore Wind Limited, which is a joint venture between Statoil and Statkraft and Masdar, in Abu Dhabi, a renewable energy company.

After design work has been completed in New Malden, construction will take place in Sembmarine SLP’s construction yard in Lowestoft, and is planned to be completed within the next 21 months.
